This weekend marks the beginning of Fantasy Island’s 16th season, with a selection of rides opening for weekends only until the park oepns every day from Wednesday 30th March. The park initially suggested that all rides would be available for the opening weekend, with the exception of Jubilee Odyssey, Millennium Roller Coaster, the log flume and Amazing Confusion. Unfortunately, this no longer seems to be the case as a number of other rides are missing from the lineup. Notable exceptions from the list, revealed earlier today by the park, include Techno Jump which is still being repainted, Jellikins which has reportedly been refurbished over winter, Dragon Mountain Descent as well as a number of children’s rides which will also be unavailable. Wristbands are half price between now and April 3rd due to the limited ride selection.
Rides available this weekend:
Volcanic Impact
The Beast
Coconut Twist
Rhombus’ Rocket
Fantasy Mouse
Wreckers Cove
Carousel
Formula 2000
Pony Express
Jets
Toucan Tours
Mini Dodgems
Jungle Truck Ride
In related news, the park has reconsidered the age restrictions for wristbands. Full price wristbands will be priced at £10 for children aged 3 to 9, and £20 for guests aged 10 and above. Children under the age of 3 are able to ride for free.
